Born and raised in the province of Östergötland, subsequently Stockholm and then 25 years in Göteborg, before we decided to move to Australia.

After 25+ years in the insurance industry, 20 as self employed, we decided it was time for a change of surroundings and lifestyle.

I now live on a small farm at Sellicks Hill. Surrounded by vineyards, hundreds of sunshine hours, a couple of horses and alpacas in the paddocks and many exciting projects going on, the move to SA has never felt better. Right now we are building a couple of units on our property, where we will open a B&B some time during the year.

My main interest is travelling, which offers so many opportunities to se new places and make new acquaintances. In addition, I like to play a round of golf every now and then.

I am from Olso, Norway and moved to Adelaide a year ago when my wife, Mia, started studying at Flinders University. I now live in Flagstaff Hill together with my wife Mia and the children Andreas, Alexandra and Joacim.

The best about Adelaide is the climate, friends and red wine.

I am involved in the Swedish Club because I think it is a great community that I want to be part of and contribute to.

I am born in Stockholm but grew up in Malmö. I moved to Adelaide with work 8 years ago. I now work as a Mechanial Engineer at Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC).

The best things about Adelaide are the beaches, the wine districts and the climate of course.

I am involved in the Swedish Club because it provides me with the opportunity to keep my Swedish side alive and it gives me great opportunities to meet other Swedes. It makes me feel less home sick. The club give me the chance to experience Swedish culture when I feel like it.

Originally from Göteborg, I have lived in New Zealand for 16 years and moved to Adelaide in July 2007. My husband, Roger who I met in New Zealand, grew up in Adelaide and his whole family lives here. So when we had our first boy, we decided to move closer to one of our families.

I am currently on maternity leave, but hope to resume work at IKEA in June.

In Adelaide, I enjoy being able to be outside nearly every day, lovely people and to have the children’s grand-parents close by!

I have lived overseas for so long, that for me the Swedish Club is a wonderful way to keep the traditions and language alive for myself and my children, as well as meeting other Swedes.

My name is Leif Simon, I´m born and raised south of Stockholm. I moved here in April 2008 whit my wife Agneta and my two lovely children Ellen and Daniel when Agneta got a job at IKEA. Right now I´m taking the opportunity to be of work and to take care of house and family. I love to play a round of golf whitch I  have found to be a facinating sport.

I join the Swedish Club because I think it´s important that there is a club so we can celebrait our swedish tradition's and it plays an important role for new arriving swedes in order to get together and get some information and help ,whitch we got when we first arrived.

The best things whith Adelaidere are that it´s so close to the ocean, the nice climate, the slower tempo and all the nice people.
